As the skin ages it loses it elasticity, it’s ability to return to its normal resting state after movement of the underlying muscles, is reduced.
Over a period of time this causes wrinkles and lines. By using Botulinum Toxin A (Botox®), a nerve blocker which is injected into the muscles, we can prevent the muscles from contracting and hence prevent these lines and wrinkles from deepening.
The 3-4 months of relaxation this provides also helps these lines to partially fade and soften.
Dermal Fillers
One of the constituents of healthy skin is Hyaluronic acid. This is a compound which attracts water and binds to it resulting in plumpness of the skin.
As we age we produce less of this substance and hence the skin becomes dry and loses its plumpness. By injecting this directly into the skin we can help to soften deep lines and also add volume to the face.
Microneedling & Mesotherapy
This is a procedure where by very ne needles are used to create micro-channels in the skin. This has a twofold function. Firstly it allows the delivery of micro-nutrients directly to the lower layers of the skin and secondly it encourages the skin to create collagen and stimulates new skin cells.
Together this results in a smoother and healthier skin.
